Most Gun Safety Courses require the handling and shooting of firearms at the
range. In most cases the defendant can not posses or handle a firearm during
their probation period or deferred sentence period.
Unlike our competition, we offer a Basic Pistol Safety Course that does not require the handling or
shooting of firearms. The students are required to pass a written test and a
gun handling test using a fake gun.
(AKA: Blue Gun used in training exercises)
During these classes, there are no real firearms or ammunition in the
classroom.
These classes are taught by NRA
Certified Instructors that have
been trained extensively in Firearm Safety.
